At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

A Guardians of the Galaxy actor might have just given away the fact they’re in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Production is underway in Australia on the new Taika Waititi sequel, which will see familiar faces from Marvel’s other franchises show up for appearances.

In the film, Chris Hemsworth will return as the lead character alongside Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) and Natalie Portman, who’ll play Lady Thor.

Meanwhile, Christian Bale will appear as Gorr the God Butcher.

It’s been known that select cast members from the Guardians of the Galaxy series, including Chris Pratt and Pom Klementieff, would appear in the new film.

A recent video also revealed that Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer) and Karen Gillan (Nebula) are also set to make an appearance in the forthcoming movie.

It was unknown whether Rocket Racoon would be in the film as Bradley Cooper was nowhere to be seen; he only provides the character’s voice.

However, Marvel sleuths have spotted that Sean Gunn – the actor who does the motion-capture work for the character – is now in Australia.

Gunn – brother of Guardians director, James Gunn – posted a photo of himself in Sydney to Instagram.

It could just be a coincidence, but coming just a week after the video of Pratt and company also arriving in Australia, the photo is more likely confirmation that Rocket will be in Thor 4 after all.

Gunn also does the motion-capture work for Kraglin.

Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled to be released in cinemas in February 2022.
