Stanley Tucci has waded into the “world’s sexiest bald man” debate, after Prince William was crowned with the title via a dubious poll by a cosmetic surgery company.
On Saturday 27 March, a study reported by The Sun claimed the royal had the most mentions alongside the word “sexy” out of all the world’s most famous bald men.
However, the survey sparked a fierce reaction from pop culture fans, who began to list actors such as Stanley Tucci and Dwayne Johnson as more suitable candidates for the title.
Both have since reacted to the furore.
Johnson joked that he wanted a recount, while Tucci posted a montage of famous bald men – along with Tilda Swinton in a film role that involved a bald cap, and Ryan Reynolds – with the comment: “Whose crown should wear this crown? So many wonderful choices.”
Reynolds then responded to being included, commenting: “Wait…”
“So many domes, so many choices,” Katie Couric wrote.

Meanwhile, Johnson wrote on Twitter: “How in the cinnamon toast f*** does this happen - when Larry David clearly has a pulse?!?!”
The Independent has contacted a representative for Tucci to see if he would also like to demand a recount.
