The British actor has been hard at work filming the new sequel, which will see the return of several characters from Spider-Man films of old.
Perhaps teasing this, Holland said he had just completed filming scenes that he called “easily one of the highlights of my career”.
He wrote on Instagram: “For those of you that were there, you know what I’m talking about and for those of you that weren’t, you better buckle up!!!”
His words have sent Marvel fans’ excitement into overdrive, with many now predicting that the as-of-yet untitled Spider-Man 3 will feature some of the MCU’s most mind-blowing scenes yet.

“When Tom says to ‘buckle up’, we know he means business!!!” one fan wrote.
Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx will return as the villainous Doctor Octopus and Electro, respectively, despite both actors appearing in non-Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man films.
While unconfirmed, it is expected that this will occur due to the introduction of the Multiverse, meaning different Spider-Man worlds intersecting at once.
Fans think this could tease the arrival of the Sinister Six.
Former Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are also both rumoured to be appearing in the sequel.
Another rumour suggests that the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse character Miles Morales could be showing up in some form.
Spider-Man 3 is currently scheduled to be released in the UK on 17 December.
