Following a pair of dreamy teasers which each centered on one of the film's central lovers, Ryan Gosling's spirited jazz musician and Emma Stone's struggling actress, the first full trailer for musical La La Land has arrived - and it's an absolute, magical wonder.
There's some major Oscar hype surrounding the film, a follow-up to Damien Chazelle's 2014 sleeper hit Whiplash, which pitched student against teacher in an utterly gripping, sweat-dripped drama about the toils of jazz drumming.
Though La La Land is no less in love with the world of jazz, it's certainly a change of pace for Chazelle; trading in taut agression for a neon-soaked, nostalgic take on the classic Golden Age musical, all big-hearted romance and wholesome glamour.
The film also boasts stellar performances from its leads, marking a third collaboration between Gosling and Stone after both Crazy Stupid Love and Gangster Squad; Stone's already become something of a shoo-in for a Best Actress nod.
The pair star alongside Whiplash's J.K. Simmons, John Legend, and American Horror Story's Finn Wittrock; with lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who have been recently tapped to write new music for Disney's live-action remake of Snow White.
La La Land hits UK cinemas 13 January, 2017.
