From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Deadpool 2 will be making a special appearance at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.

20th Century Fox is set to bring a special "uncut" edition of the film to the convention, in what promises to be "a super-duper special screening" with "maybe some surprises", according to Entertainment Weekly.

A Deadpool 2 panel will take place in Hall H from 5:15pm- 6:15pm on Saturday, 21 July, with some "pals" dropping in.

This will be followed by the screening at 10pm- 12am at San Diego's Horton Grande Theatre, near the convention centre.

Hopefully, the panel might be able to shed light on a few secrets from the film: including the obvious A-list cameo, the much less obvious A-list cameo, and the secret part Ryan Reynolds himself played.

The sequel sees the Merc with a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) face Josh Brolin's Cable, a time-travelling mutant with a metal arm and penchant for chaos, on the hunt for a young mutant with fire-wielding capabilities, played by Hunt for the Wilderpeople's Julian Dennison.

To save the kid from certain death, Deadpool puts together a team he calls the X-Force: a reference to a team of mutants from the Marvel comics commonly associated (but separate) from the X-Men, who are known for being a little more reckless and aggressive in their tactics.

Deadpool 2 also stars Morena Baccarin, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Jack Kesy, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Shioli Kutsuna, Eddie Marsan, Terry Crews, and Stefan Kapičić.
