Your support makes all the difference.It turns out that Ben Affleck's stint as director of upcoming DC film The Batman isn't as set in stone as first thought.
The filmmaker, who also plays the latest incarnation of the Caped Crusader, was speaking to The Guardian when he revealed that the film's future remains uncertain.
Asked if he still planned to direct and co-write the film, he said: "That’s the idea. But it’s not a set thing and there’s no script.
"If it doesn’t come together in a way I think is really great I’m not going to do it."
This contradicts the actor-director's very own words; just last October, he stated that the script was "going well."
Affleck will next star as Bruce Wayne in DC mashup Justice League alongside Henry Cavill (Superman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Jason Momoa (Aquaman). He first showed up in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as well as a brief appearance in Suicide Squad.
Former True Blood actor Joe Manganiello will also appear as the villain Deathstroke.
Live by Night - Affleck's first film as director following 2012 Oscar winner Argo - will be released in the UK on 16 January.
