Your support makes all the difference.Unsettled spring weather will continue across the UK this weekend, with heavy rain and thunder forecast alongside warm spells of sunshine.
Conditions will be wet and windy throughout Friday across the west and southwest, where some thunder is expected.
It will be mostly dry and bright elsewhere.
The lowest temperatures overnight will be around 0C in the northeast, where some frost is possible.
Saturday will see vastly different conditions developing across the east and west.
A flow of wind will bring “cloudy and cold” conditions to the eastern UK, with temperatures plummeting to 4C or 5C under low cloud.
But in the west temperatures will be around 15C, with the weather expected to be “generally fine” with warm spells of sunshine.
“There is a bit of a split on Saturday as it all depends on where the cloud lingers,” said Alex Burkill, a meteorologist at the Met Office.
“It will be quite similar on Sunday as well.”
Although there will be outbreaks of rain on Sunday, the weekend will bring highs of 16C or 17C to parts of southern England.
Temperatures are expected to reach 5C in northern England and Scotland.
The weather is expected to become more settled by next week.
“It will be generally drier and brighter especially in the north,” Mr Burkill said.
“There will be some rain in the southwest on Tuesday and Wednesday.”
Average temperatures early next week are expected to be around 10C or 11C.
“We’re not seeing as many April showers but this is pretty normal [spring] weather,” Mr Burkill said.
