Tell us what you want done about Bosnia
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Yesterday's invitation to readers to say what should be done about the continuing bloody conflict in the former Yugoslavia attracted a big response. The three approaches for Western action that we outlined were: 1. to pull out of the former Yugoslavia, 2. to take the war to the Serbs, or 3. to maintain a UN presence while searching for a negotiated peace. So far, the responses are heavily in favour of using force to take on the Serbs.
If you have not yet done so, we urge you to tell us - and the politicians - your views. Please write to: Options for Bosnia, The Independent, 40 City Road, London EC1Y 2DB (fax: 071-962 0017).
Or, if you prefer, you can vote for one of the three options by telephoning 071-415 2211 and leaving your message on the answerphone. We apologise to all who tried to call yesterday and found the lines engaged.
