Your support makes all the difference.Your correspondent writes: "In Scotland 500,000 Conservative voters have been robbed of the right to be represented" (Letters, 11 May). I disagree. Anyone elected to parliament represents all the voters in the constituency and not just those who voted for her or him.
The candidate I voted for did not win but I am represented, even if all my political opinions are not shared by my MP. If the need arises, I shall regard it as my right to lobby him and regard it as his duty to listen and act appropriately. Likewise those 500,000 Tories are represented and they must not let their MPs forget it. There is still, of course, the need for electoral reform: an issue to take up with their MPs.
