Your support makes all the difference.Sir: Christine Loh's article (17 June) refers to British imperialism of one hundred years ago and the Chinese "loss of face", a sense of shame which will be cleansed by the return of Hong Kong. She hopes for apology and reconciliation.
By all means let us make a formal apology to China for the seizure of Hong Kong and for the imperialism of one hundred years ago. Will China then remove its troops from Tibet and apologise for its disgraceful treatment of that very special nation and culture?
