Your support makes all the difference.Sir: Reggie Nadelson (Living, 25 February) says those who do not have a television have a 'sanctimonious sense of superiority' - and in doing so portrays just that trait herself. We have no TV just because it is so wonderful that we are not strong enough to control it.
Given the demands of a busy family life, from office, home and school work to music, reading and conversation, we found television just too hard to switch off. As teleholics we had to go cold turkey or all go down the tube together.
After three years we still miss television, but with the benefit of an occasional fix at friends' houses, our family has a happier life without it.
