Your support makes all the difference.Sir: The suggestion (letter, 13 January) that the Stone of Scone should be returned to Northern Ireland should be treated with caution. The same legend that says it was taken to Scotland by Fergus Mac Erc says the stone is Jacob's Pillow, and was brought to Ireland by the grandson of the daughter of the Pharaoh who found Moses in the bullrushes.
So should we not rather return it to Egypt? Or Israel?
