Your support makes all the difference.Sir: Any legislation to ban use of mobile telephones by motorists would be another example of knee-jerk lawmaking on the back of quite justified public sympathy for an innocent motorist killed. The point about this recent case is that the driver using the phone was not just using a phone; he was also careless. Many thousands of innocent phone users should not be penalised for the few who are guilty.
