Your support makes all the difference.IN "BRIDGE over troubled water" (Real Life, 9 August) you state that in a survey conducted by the Independent on Sunday in 1991 a third of white people thought you should marry only within your race, but you do not indicate how many black people thought the same.
And you conclude that a larger percentage of mixed-race children from black fathers/white mothers are in care because their white mothers do not wish to raise them. You neglect the fact that the child also has a father and that he should be taking equal responsibility for the upbringing of his child.
