Letter: How New Age travellers abuse the right of valid protest

Sir: Your leading article eulogy about travellers makes me, an OAP, sick. What about the victims? A couple of years ago, a small group of these trespassers invaded our private back garden via a side road. They had dogs and matchets. It was hell.

I do not know if my wife's lifespan was affected by the trauma of having these rural terrorists prowling around the unfenced rear of our house, but she was never the same again. Fifteen months after the invasion, she dropped dead.
