Sir: I have a Down's syndrome daughter who lives in a residential care home in Buckinghamshire. I've read the letter (19 September) from Audrey Bainbridge, chairman of the county's social services committee, and I would like to ask her one simple question. If her daughter lived in one of the residential homes concerned, would she have left her there after receiving the report to which she refers?
