Your support makes all the difference.I WAS appalled by your article "The absolute height of chic" (Real Life, 17 January). It is the sort of claptrap that has allowed out-of- touch organisations to "list" these nightmare blocks. English Heritage has recently succeeded in getting the flats where I live "protected". Protected from what? From the kind of redevelopment or demolition that is needed to save the people who live here from endless crime, vandalism, and filthy and depressing surroundings.
It's OK to print pretty dresses with pictures of tower blocks in order to look hip, but that's a world away from actually living in these places. After 10 years, I will finally be moving soon, thanks to Sheffield City Council's recognition that I deserve to be rehoused for health reasons.
