Rescuers are hoping to find a home for a poodle shih-tzu who's pleading gaze resembles that of a human face.
The dog, named Tonik, was due to be put down before he was saved in the nick of time and taken to the Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Group in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Tonik's survival and newfound fame mean he joins a growing menagerie of creatures that bear an uncanny resemblance to human beings.
