Although the fast-food industry has resisted listing calories on menus, as reported in The Wall Street Journal, McDonalds are acting before the federal requirement takes effect, which will insist on labelling requirements for the fatty goods.
The company, which has 14,000 locations around the country, also claimed to be introducing more healthy options for customers.
Their most calorific item isn't a burger as you might expect, but the 1,150 calorie Big Breakfast with hotcakes and large biscuit.
