Eileen Likness was shot by her boyfriend with a 9mm handgun but as she was standing side-on the bullet travelled through both her surgically enhanced breasts. "My implants took the brunt of the force," said Likeness at the trial.
Both implants were destroyed on impact but after recovering from her wounds Likeness had a new pair put in - better safe than sorry.
Now ex-boyfriend Frank Chora, 61, faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault with a weapon in connection with the Jan. 2, 2006, incident.
