The UK Peace index combines five factors to produce a score out of five for each area, with 1 being the most peaceful and 5 being the least.

The factors are:

1. Homicides per 100,000 people

2. Violent crimes per 100,000 people

3. Weapons Crime per 100,000 people

4. Public Disorder Offences per 100,000 people

5. Police Officers per 100,000 people
