As Twitter and Facebook crimes are announced as having risen a massive 780% in just four years, there's a lot to be said about social media and privacy. Even Mark Zukerberg's sister has something to say.

Recently, Anonymous the internet hacktivist group, were reportedly threatening to take down Facebook, and there were also complaints about Facebook's Photo Sync feature.

Now, Mark Zuckerberg's sister Randi has criticised another user for sharing her photo publicly after posting it on Facebook.

She thought the photo was meant for friends only - but another user, Ms Schweitzer, apparently saw the photo after her friend was tagged. She then shared the photo (which went viral), causing Ms Zuckerberg to tweet:

"Digital etiquette: always ask permission before posting a friend's photo publicly." "It's not just about privacy settings, it's about human decency."

"I'm just sensitive to private photos becoming 'news'," she added.

Many Facebook users have reacted rather sharply to Randi Zuckerberg, commenting that the social network makes privacy settings hard to navigate.
