Yesterday, we contemplated ordering Shell's chairman to toe the line on pay. We thought we might tackle the Budget. Or demand to know why we should foot the bill, pay the penalty, for Consignia's losses. Or urge an end to goalpost-moving over Europe. Or call for a period of healing anywhere you might care to look.
There were other fields, too. The decision of Russell Crowe to donate his brain to medical science is clearly significant; and the news that the earth's magnetic poles are swopping over.
Clearly some metatarsal might be drawn. Sorry, metaphor. No, it's no good, we can't go on. We are going to lie down in a darkened room, listen to Sven's CD and attempt distant healing. We advise you to join the rest of the nation and do the same.
