Footage of the creature at the wheel of the electric vehicle has been shared thousands of times. A couple of people sitting inside shop can be seen jumping in shock.
Slowly, one man peers around the corner, assessing the damage and looking for a driver.
As he searches outside on the busy street for who the culprit, all becomes clear when a large dog pops up in the driver’s cabin.
The animal, which appears to be a black Labrador or a similar breed, looks around sheepishly from the driver’s seat.
Eventually, another man, thought to be the vehicle’s owner comes in and begins to push the little truck backwards out of the shop.
The incident reportedly took place a few weeks ago in a mobile phone shop in Taizhou City, China.
The owner of the electric vehicle left the dog in the car without turning off the power and the curious canine triggered the pedal that made the tuk tuk truck zoom off, local media reported.
Nobody, including the dog, was hurt during the incident,
