Illegal fireworks spark blaze within seconds in San Francisco park
CCTV footage shows just how quickly a blaze caused by fireworks spread across a San Francisco park after landing incorrectly.
In the clip filmed from McLaren Park, a number of the explosives go off, before one plummets back into the ground, sparking fire, with the flames growing bigger within seconds.
“They cause countless injuries, hundreds of thousands of dollars in property damage, and, in some cases, deaths”, the San Francisco Fire Department posted on X alongside the footage.
Fireworks are banned entirely in the city, and anyone caught owning them could face fines and jail time.
