Frustrated Cameron Norrie throws tennis racquet into crowd and hits spectator
Tennis player Cameron Norrie accidentally threw his racquet into the stands, hitting a spectator during his first-round defeat to Facundo Diaz Acosta at the Auckland Classic in New Zealand on Tuesday, 7 January.
The British number two, 29, reacted in frustration after hitting a return into the net to hand Diaz Acosta a match point before immediately offering his apologies to the woman.
Chair umpire Greg Allensworth checked on the spectator's well-being before issuing Norrie with a warning for unsportsmanlike conduct.
