Ryder Cup spectators sprint to course for start of 2023 tournament
Golf spectators raced to claim the best seats around the first tee as the gates opened for the Ryder Cup at dawn.
The 44th tournament began in Rome on Friday 29 September, as Team Europe look to regain the crown from Team USA after defeat in 2021.
There was no messing around from the thousands in attendance, as they raced for a prime spot to watch the first tee as the doors swung open in the early hours of this morning.
Footage shows hundreds of fans shouting and sprinting as they made their way to the course, while thousands more took a more casual stroll to the tee.
