Rugby legend Jason Robinson creates pitch art to celebrate iconic World Cup moments
England rugby legend Jason Robinson has helped create striking pitch art to celebrate the upcoming 2023 Rugby World Cup.
With less than 100 days to go until the competition kicks off in France, fans from England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland have voted for their respective country’s favourite moment from tournaments gone by.
England fans chose Jonny Wilkinson’s Rugby World Cup-winning drop goal against Australia in 2003, Ireland favoured Rob Kearney and Conor Murray beating France in 2015, while Scottish fans opted for Chris Paterson’s flawless kicking display to beat Italy in 2007.
To round it off, Wales supporters selected Shane Williams’s ‘Game of my Life’ against New Zealand in 2003.
Asahi Super Dry enlisted Japanese artist Inko Ai Takita to help design the pitch-art mural paying homage to each special moment.
