Paris Olympics: Tom Daley jumps on cardboard ‘anti-sex’ athletes’ village bed to test sturdiness
Team GB diving star Tom Daley has shared a glimpse inside his room at the Olympic Village.
Daley, who will be competing at his fifth Games at Paris, uploaded a video to TikTok on Monday (22 July) with the caption: “Cardboard beds in the Olympic Village!”
After sharing some close-ups of the bed's frame, the 30-year-old jumps up and down on top of his mattress.
“As you can see, they are pretty sturdy,” he says.
It has been widely rumoured that the beds have been made out of cardboard to discourage sexual activity between athletes.
Olympic organisers have stressed that they were designed to symbolise the competition's commitment to sustainability.
