Moment Liverpool FC fans drown out National Anthem with booing at Brentford game
Roars could be heard from Anfield Stadium as Liverpool FC fans booed the National Anthem, before their match against Brentford.
Anti-monarchy signs and flags could be spotted throughout the crowd, as the music was almost completely drowned out.
However, it’s nothing new. Liverpool’s long-standing history of being anti-establishment has seen them shut down any attempt at bringing the royal family into the sport.
Just one week ago, chants of ‘not my king’ could be heard on the streets of the city as King Charles III visited.
