Fan-led review of football calls for independent regulator and ‘stamp duty’ on transfers
The long-awaited fan-led review of football has been published and calls for an independent regulator to be set up as well as suggesting a 10 per cent levy on transfers from overseas and between top-flight clubs.
Some of the other recommendations led by former sports minister Tracey Crouch include trialling the sale of alcohol in view of the pitch at selected National League and League Two matches as well as better support for young players released by English academies.
