Chris Hoy opens up about terminal cancer diagnosis in emotional message to fans

Chris Hoy has opened up about his terminal cancer diagnosis in an emotional video message to fans.

The six-time Olympic gold medalist, who revealed his diagnosis in an interview with The Sunday Times last week, took to Instagram on Thursday evening (24 October) to thank fans for their “incredible kindness and support”.

The 48-year-old admitted his stage four diagnosis was a “huge shock”, but said he had a “deep resolve to turn the news into something more positive”.

Sir Chris also announced his new book All That Matters, where he explains how he has coped with his diagnosis.
