The video from Today at Wimbledon has resurfaced after Murray announced on Tuesday (23 July) that he will retire from tennis after the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Footage shows an 18-year-old Murray beat George Bastl in the first round of the SW19 competition.

Murray went on to cause a shock upset over world No.13 seed Radek Stepanek in straight sets and was rewarded with his first call-up to Centre Court to face former world No.3, David Nalbandian.
