Afghan women's football team play first match since leaving Kabul
Afghanistan’s national women’s football team played their first match in Qatar since leaving Kabul last month.
They were among thousands of refugees flown to Qatar after the Taliban retook the country following the evacuation of US and UK forces in August.
Women were not allowed to participate in sports during the Taliban’s first reign and female athletes are worried that this policy will remain despite pledges from the group to adopt a more liberal attitude this time.
