Why are women wearing white at the State of Union?
Congresswomen wore white to the State of the Union address to highlight the fight for women's reproductive rights across the US.
The white is a nod to the suffragette movement, where women wore white in their fight to win the right to vote.
This is not the first time House Democrat women have done so. The group used the colour to make a statement at previous State of the Union speeches, including during President Trump's administration.
In his 2024 address, President Biden is expected to vow to "restore Roe v. Wade as the law of the land again".
