Motorhomes float away in California river after heavy rains
Several motorhomes were swept into a river in California after a road collapsed following heavy rain.
Aerial footage from the Ventura County Air Unit shows RVs floating in the water after being submerged in the Santa Clara River on Saturday, 25 February.
Rescue crews searched one of the overturned motorhomes by shining a bright light into the vehicle.
Motorhomes were swept away when an embankment collapsed due to high water and riverbank erosion, the air unit said.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Friday into Saturday.
No injuries were reported.
