Donald Trump and Kamala Harris met for the first time during the first presidential debate between the pair during the 2024 US election. After taking the stage in Philadelphia, the candidates shared an unexpected handshake, with Harris extending her hand to her Republican rival first. Harris introduced herself saying “Let’s have a good debate”.

“Let’s have fun”, Trump responded.

It comes as the latest national polls show Harris having a 2.8-point lead over Trump.
