House ‘completely destroyed’ after ‘gas explosion’ in Swansea, council leader says
One house has been “completely destroyed” and another “very badly damaged” after a suspected gas explosion at a property in Swansea.
South Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service were called to an address on the junction of Clydach Road and Field Close in Morriston just after 11.20am on Monday (13 March).
Rob Stewart, leader of Swansea Council, told media that the main focus in the aftermath of the incident was to “ensure that everyone is accounted for and safe”.
“One property completely destroyed and the second very badly damaged,” he said from the scene.
