SpaceX launches resupply mission carrying ants, shrimp and avocados to ISS
SpaceX has successfully launched another Falcon 9 rocket into orbit carrying a Dragon cargo capsule on a resupply mission to the International Space Station.
The Falcon 9 rocket took to the skies from Nasa’s Kennedy Space Center carrying more than 4,800 lbs (2,177 kilograms) of fresh supplies and experimental hardware, notably a human-sized robotic arm.
The cargo also included a number of interesting items such as ants, brine shrimp, avocados, lemons and ice cream sent to the space station.
Ants and shrimp will be used as test subjects, while the robotic arm will attempt to perform mundane chores normally done by astronauts
