Students stage protest over toilet policy at Leeds school
Pupils at Leeds school have staged a second protest over a decision to close the majority of its bathrooms during lessons.
The Farnley Academy students took to a playing field on Monday (27 February) after they were only allowed access to use centrally located loos in teaching periods.
The first protest was held last Friday, as a similar demonstration was held at a Cornwall school.
New rules has been introduced due to two “serious safeguarding events,” headteacher Chris Stokes said.
At least one block of boys and one block of girls’ toilets are open during lessons, he added.
