‘I was cackling’: Kate Garraway recalls trying not to wake Queen during GMB broadcast
Kate Garraway recalled a time she struggled not to wake up Queen Elizabeth II during a live Good Morning Britain broadcast from Buckingham Palace.
Speaking via video link, co-presenter Ben Shephard and the broadcaster reminisced about that morning at the palace.
“It all felt so exciting because we knew that Queen was fast asleep in her private apartments fast asleep, we were told not to be too loud at the beginning of the show,” Mr Shephard recalled.
After bursting into laughter, Ms Garraway remarked that she was “cackling too much.”
