French police clear migrant camp in Paris as Olympics approaches
Police in France have cleared a refugee camp outside Paris City Hall where around 100 men and boys had been living in tents for several weeks.
Non-governmental organisations claim this is part of a campaign to move migrants off the streets to prepare for the Summer Olympics.
Paris officials refute the claims, and say the camp was cleared for security and welfare reasons.
Police asked refugees to get on a bus that would drive them to a centre outside the French capital.
However, many will refuse to avoid jeopardising their court appeals according to Revers de Medaille Coordinator Antoine de Clerck.
