Police chase stolen ambulance across East Dallas

A man has been arrested after he stole an ambulance and led the police on a two-hour chase across East Dallas. Helicopter footage captured the high-speed pursuit and the driver can be seen weaving around moving vehicles, jumping red lights, and driving on pavements and grass.

The man stole the Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance from Station 53 in Far East Dallas before driving down Interstate 635. The police were originally just tracking the stolen vehicle but public safety troopers decided to intervene and the man eventually came to a stop after the wheels of the ambulance became damaged.
