Watch: Rescuers work to free children trapped in Pakistan chairlift after cable snaps above ravine
Rescue teams are battling to rescue six children and two adults, suspended inside a cable car dangling over a deep Pakistani valley.
This footage shows the moment a helicopter arrives at the scene as locals gather at the scene, looking on in horror. A rescuer is seen approaching the cable car.
The children were using the chairlift to cross the valley to get to school at around 7am on Tuesday, when a cable broke at a height of up to 1,200 feet (about 365 metres) midway through its journey in a remote, mountainous part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
