Family of Nottingham victims lay flowers at vigil attended by thousands
Thousands of students and members of the public gathered at the University of Nottingham on Wednesday afternoon to pay tribute to two victims who were killed in an attack in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The families of medical student Grace Kumar, 19 and history student Barnaby Webber, 19, sat in the front row and were visibly emotional as staff and students led a series of tributes at the vigil.
Various speakers addressed the crowds and a minute’s silence was held before students and staff were invited to lay flowers.
The third victim of the Nottingham attacks has been named as Ian Coates, a school caretaker in his 60s.
