Northern Ireland in ‘unbelievably special’ position thanks to EU deal, Sunak says

Rishi Sunak believes Northern Ireland is in an “unbelievably special position” thanks to the newly-agreed Windsor Framework.

The prime minister added that businesses in the region will also benefit from being in “the world’s most exciting economic zone”.

“If we get this right, if we get this framework implemented... Northern Ireland is in an unbelievably special position – a unique position in the entire world,” Mr Sunak said.

He added that Northern Ireland will have “privileged access” not just to the UK home market, but also the European Union single market.
