New Zealand shooting: Armed police guard construction site where gunman killed two

Armed police are guarding a construction site in New Zealand after a gunman opened fire and killed two and injured many more.

Police officers rushed to the scene of the shooting on Thursday (20 July) which happened at the site in a busy street in Auckland.

At least two people were killed, and multiple people injured authorities said. Police confirmed the shooter had been killed and risk from the incident was over.

A heavy police presence remains with armed officers patrolling the area.
