Listen: Strange noises heard from inside Boeing Starliner as astronaut raises alarm
Strange noises have been heard from inside the Boeing Starliner spaceship.
Astronaut Butch Wilmore radioed Mission Control at Johnson Space Center from the International Space Station (ISS) on Saturday (31 August) to enquire about the sound.
Wilmore said: “There is a strange noise coming from the speaker, I don’t know what is making it.”
Mission Control responds: “It was kind of like a pulsating noise, almost like a sonar ping.”
Astronaut Chris Hadfield also reacted to the audio and tweeted: “There are several noises I'd prefer not to hear inside my spaceship, including this one that Boeing Starliner is now making."
Astronauts and officials are yet to confirm what the noise is.
