Rio Ferdinand asked for his take on Gary Lineker’s ‘Nazi’ comments outside Downing Street

Rio Ferdinand was asked for his take on Gary Lineker’s tweet where he compared the new small boats bill to Nazi Germany.

The sports broadcaster tweeted that the new legislation which aims to deter illegal channel crossings is “immeasurably cruel.”

He said the plan was phrased “in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s.”

As he stepped outside of 10 Downing Street, Ferdinand was asked if he supported his fellow sportsman’s statement.

He simply replied: “Not seen it.”
