Michigan police officer shoots and kills beloved deer named Annie
A police officer shot a deer beloved by a town in Michigan, prompting a “Justice for Annie” campaign, horrifying footage shows.
Annie was seen by Pokagon Band Tribal Police officer David Loza on the driveway of a family’s home in Lawrence while he was assisting the Van Buren County Sheriff’s office on an unrelated child support incident.
Nevaeh Sylvester, who looked after the deer, filmed the officer holding Annie by a collar before taking out his gun and shooting her dead.
Mr Loza allegedly told the family that the animal was “domesticated and needs to be put down,” according to a WWMT report.
